Q. What equipment does my child need?

Q. Does JYH rent or lend equipment?

A. JYH does not rent or lend equipment...once you are registered you can receive updated emails regarding gear sales. There is a local Jackson Hole Facebook group titled Jackson Youth Hockey Buy/Sell/Trade which can be utilized to obtain or sell your child's gear.

Q. Why does the program and registration need a copy of my child's birth certificate?

A. It is USA policy that skaters are placed on teams in their age group and the birth certificate is a required verifcation of each skater's age.

Q. I did this last year. Can I just use the same USA Hockey Number I was given?

A. The USA HOckey number is only valid per each season. Every player is REQUIRED to register each year. As a USA Hockey program we will not permit any skater, player, coach, or volunteer on the ice without it.

Q. Why do we need to register with USA Hockey?

A. USA Hockey is the governing body for our youth hockey organization. Your membership with USAH provides you with accident insurance. You may see the benefits of USAH online at www.usahockey.com.

Q. Are scholarships available for my child to participate in the program?

A. JYH has implemented the Scott Smith Scholarship Program and details/application forms can be found on the Scott Smith Scholarship Page.

Q. If I submit my personal financial information as part of my scholarship request who will view it?

A. Only the financial committee members on our board review scholarship applications. All details are kept confidential.
